This past week I had another bloom of my Giant Argentine Cactus because of our Monsoon weather which brings on the blooms at this time of year. Normally they bloom in April but most years I will get second blooms during the rains of Monsoon. The blooms aren't as big as in April but they are so sweet smelling. They start blooming around 5pm toward sundown and bloom into the night and then close as the sun comes up in the morning. So you have to be quick to photograph this cactus. Lucky for me I like to get up early. Here I used Kim's texture kkanne from her ClothandPaper Collection because I wanted to give a feel of grit not on the delicate blooms but on the rest of the image.
Next the images without texture in portrait and the one in landscape.
Then my yucca is blooming again for the same reason Monsoon, I had a play around with Kim's presets. As you see also the bees are out in force.
