My title quote from Maya Angelou that I think says it all.
This may very well be the longest post from me at the end of this year 2014 to start 2015. This past year has been a milestone for me and I am grateful to be going into my 70th year. That number has really taken it's toll on me for some reason, some birthdays do that to you. It has made me think of how I want to be spending my days. I have been thinking of pretty much nothing else.
Social media or as I like to call it Social Media Stress isn't where i want to spend 2015. I've noticed that I can be quite susceptible to social media stress which results in a love - hate relationship. I want to unplug more, to unwind and plug fully into life. I want to get lost on the wonder of life and what it brings. Place my gentle intentions to 2015.
I started this new blog in 2014 just for journaling my images of what I am feeling and seeing, a progress in my work, not in talking. That will be first and foremost for me, photography the way I see it and feel it, not in critique but in wonder of how I feel and see at the time. I want to get in touch with myself.
I bought a couple of books to help me on this path. They are books of Lists, one is called, "More List Yourself" by Ilene Segalove and Paul Bob Velick you can find at Amazon. The other one is a ebook called your "Your To Be List" by James McMahon and Lauren Rosenfeld for Kindle. With these I hope to really put down more I want to get accomplished this year by making Lists. As I have said in my "About" Page, I have never been able to keep a journal but Lists I do, so hopefully this will work for me. My WORD for 2015 is "Discover" as in Discover Me, funny how you get to be 70 and you are still trying to Discover "You" maybe that is a good thing?
Now for some images I have taken while my blog has been still for the holidays.
Now, some Christmas plenty in still life.
Happy New Year 2015, may it bring us all Love, Good Health and beautiful images to see. Cheers and Simply Good Morning.
